This document explains how IBSSL International Business Startup Services Ltd ("we," "us," "our"), a company registered in Cyprus under registration number HE 377797, with its registered office at 7, Pentageias, Dali Industrial Area, 2540, Cyprus, obtains and manages your consent to send marketing emails (newsletters). This policy is provided in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable Cypriot legislation implementing the ePrivacy Directive (Law 112(I)/2004).
Under the Cypriot ePrivacy Law (which implements the EU ePrivacy Directive), we are required to obtain your explicit consent before sending any marketing emails, except where the "soft opt-in" rule applies.
Explicit opt-in consent means that you must actively choose to receive marketing emails. This requires a clear and affirmative action from you. Pre-ticked boxes or silence do NOT constitute valid consent.
For your consent to be valid, it must be: - Freely given — you must have a genuine choice. - Specific — you must know exactly what you are consenting to. - Informed — we must provide you with clear information about what you will receive. - Unambiguous — you must take a clear positive action (e.g., ticking an empty box or clicking a "Subscribe" button).
We keep records of your consent, including: - Date and time of consent. - Method of consent (e.g., form submission, checkbox). - What you were told at the time of consent. - The specific types of marketing you agreed to receive.
The "soft opt-in" is an exception to the general requirement for consent. It allows us to send marketing emails to existing customers about similar products or services without your prior consent, provided that all of the following conditions are met: - We obtained your contact details in the course of a sale or negotiations for a sale of our products or services. - We are only marketing similar products or services to those you have previously purchased or enquired about. - At the time we collected your details, we gave you a clear opportunity to opt out of receiving marketing emails. - We provide you with a clear and simple way to opt out in every marketing email we send.
For corporate subscribers (limited companies, LLPs, etc.), the email rules under the ePrivacy Directive do not apply in the same way, and consent is not strictly required. However, we are still required to provide an unsubscribe option in every email.
We obtain your consent for marketing emails through the following methods:
On our Site, we have subscription forms where you can: - Enter your email address. - Click a "Subscribe" button. - Tick an EMPTY checkbox next to text such as: "I agree to receive news, updates, and special offers from IBSSL International Business Startup Services Ltd by email."
This constitutes a positive, unambiguous action giving your explicit consent.
At the point of purchase, we may offer you the option to subscribe to our mailing list. Consent will be requested through a SEPARATE, UNTICKED checkbox.
We NEVER: - Pre-tick checkboxes for marketing consent. - Make subscription to marketing a condition of purchase. - Bundle marketing consent with other terms and conditions.
If you are an existing customer, we may send you emails about similar products or services based on the "soft opt-in" rule, provided that: - You were given the opportunity to opt out at the time of purchase. - You have not subsequently opted out. - We include an unsubscribe link in every email. - The products or services are genuinely similar to those you previously purchased or enquired about.
After we obtain your consent, we: - Store a record of your consent, including date, time, method, and the information provided to you. - Add your email address to our marketing list. - Ensure that every marketing email contains a clear and easy-to-use unsubscribe link. - Respect your right to withdraw consent at any time.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data and marketing preferences:
You can withdraw your consent at any time by: - Clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any marketing email. - Contacting us directly at neuroroles@ianrok.com. - Updating your preferences in your account settings.
Withdrawal of consent takes effect immediately. We will stop sending you marketing emails as soon as reasonably practicable and within 5 working days of your request.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data, including: - Encryption — Encryption of data in transit (SSL/TLS). - Restricted Access — Restricted access to personal data (only authorised personnel). - Secure Storage — Secure storage of consent records. - Regular Reviews — Regular security reviews and updates.
We do not share your email address or marketing preferences with third parties for their own marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
We retain your personal data for marketing purposes only for as long as: - You remain subscribed to our marketing list. - We have a legitimate business need to retain the data. - We are required to do so by law.
If you unsubscribe, we will: - Immediately stop sending you marketing emails. - Keep a record of your unsubscribe request (including your email address and the date of request) to ensure we do not send you marketing emails in the future.
We retain unsubscribe records indefinitely to comply with our legal obligation to respect your preferences.
